I think I had the same problem several times before. Yesterday I've checked the source and did some testing, everything appears to be fine. The file is created in CONFIGURE, if the file exists it'd ask if you want to drop it and configure anew, and in BUILD they simply copy whatever host.def is in $CONFIG_CACHE.

Question is this: Why does my host.def never get read?
I have checked access times before and after and they never seem to change??
