Hey Duff,
That's *EXACTLY* the attitude that's getting us into problems. (If I'm
understanding your cryptic first sentence properly...)
The openldap spell had it's DETAILS file updated with a minor revision bump.
However, that minor revision bump requires db 1.1.X, which we were not, and
still are not at. The openldap spell with this minor revision bump *DOES
NOT COMPILE* without this db upgrade.
That's why I was curious how it wound up in the devel grimoire (and
propogated into test...)
I'm not pointing fingers or trying to make anyone feel bad - it was probably
an honest mistake, a quick slip, or a manually updated-to-new-db system.
That's certainly not my point. The point is that these so-called "minor"
revision bumps should be taken as seriously as any other revision. An
update to a spell could have major unwanted effects if it's not tested
properly before being pushed into the devel grimoire. That's all.
