- Subject: [SM-Grimoire] Installing gnome-2-desktop-profile

Hi,
I did a fresh install. I started using the stable grimoire and the stable sgml but then moved to testing grimoire with the stable sgml, becasue I liked the spells in the test grimoire better.
I encountered a few problems when I cast gnome-2-desktop-profile, these may or may not have been fixed by now.
1. gtk+2 didn't compile - I followed instructions from previous posts, rm libfreetype*, cast xft2 fontconfig and pango. This worked.
2. bug-buddy2 and gnome-session did not compile, they were missing GConf2. I'm not sure if I missed something, but it's not a dependency for either spells. I installed GConf2 and both spells installed.
3. gtk-doc did not install. Missing openjade, I installed this and gtk-doc installed fine.
I'm not sure about the correct procedure in correcting these problems. Sorry if I'm wrong about these I'm not too experienced in the ways of building and installing spells.
I haven't managed to get gdm running yet so I'm still missing something. I get X running fine though. I'll debug further.
Incidently, I reinstalled because I had the same problem as Bearcat with the long wait on gdm.
Cheers, Duane.
