You know, I'm having a similar problem running kdm. The gray X screen is
displayed for 10-15 seconds while the hard drive thrashes madly, then kdm
comes up and everything works fine. It started happening after I did a
system-update which upgraded my kde from 3.1rc5 to 3.1 (among other things).
I just blamed it on kde, but maybe it's something else.

But then again, it could be something completely different than what you're
running into. I just thought I would throw it into the mix.

Howdy all !!!

A lot of software has stable, devel and cvs versions.
I thing Source Mage is great for testing devel and cvs versions too.
Some users would like to test devel versions but there are not spells
for them in grimoire
(of course there are exceptions: mozilla-nightly, sylpheed-claws, ...).

I would like to create devel spell for seahorse
http://bugs.sourcemage.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2566

What is "standard" for that ?
Should I created seahorse-devel spell ?

It would be fantastic if one spell could contains stable, devel and cvs
version too.
Something like:
VERSION=0.6.2
SOURCE=$SPELL-$VERSION.tar.gz
SOURCE_URL[0]=$SOURCEFORGE_URL/$SPELL/$SOURCE
MD5[0]=b534d3a14a722740983ff071f77b55b8

VERSION_DEVEL=0.7.1
SOURCE_DEVEL=$SPELL-$VERSION.tar.gz
SOURCE_URL_DEVEL[0]=$SOURCEFORGE_URL/$SPELL/$SOURCE
MD5_DEVEL[0]=b534d3a14a722740983ff071f77b55b8

SOURCE_URL_CVS[0]=...

Stable version was installed default, but user could change to devel or
cvs.
What about this ?
