Hi All,
Here's an account of me trying to get Mozilla to work on a newly installed PC using devel grimoire. I had no problems with casting Xft2, xfree86, gtk+2. Then, I compiled mozilla without a hitch. It didn't start under regular user account though. I then tried as root and it did start. I tried to strace and under my account it would stop while trying to stat something named just "core". I poked around and found nothing special about "core"-named files. Then, I tried using `sudo mozilla` under my account and it ran. So, after this the only thing left was to `chown -R me.me ~/.mozilla/`, and everything was back to normal. I'm writing this from a freshly installed PC with GNOME 2 using Mozilla as a client.
Thanks,
Sergey.
