If i understood the docs of xpdf right, you can define which fonts it
uses for displaying, so freetype2 would enable you to use truetype
fonts.

I agree it should be pushed to the test grimoire, although changing the
source_url would make the 1.x version work again (most mirrors still
have the source for the older version).
