Isn't the FSF deprecating man pages entirely in favor of the info system in
GNU? Might explain the mucked documentation if nobody cares enough about
the old one to verify it before every release, especially if different
people are doing the maintenance. Then again, I didn't see bzip at all in
the tar info pages, offhand.
Can we get rid of the wrong documentation with a configure switch or
something?
