Summary: init script output broken for some ANSI terminals
Product: Codex
Version: test grimoire
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: smgl
AssignedTo: sm-grimoire-bugs AT lists.ibiblio.org
ReportedBy: eekee57 AT fastmail.fm
Running init scripts in some terminals results in the init script overwriting
it's own output. I have had this happen in the vte-based XFCE Terminal, where
the terminal fails to scroll as the init script outputs new lines, and the
shell prompt overwrites the last line if the cursor is at the bottom.
The issue might not be considered serious if it were only vte-based terminals,
but there is a possibility that some kernel framebuffer drivers may also be
affected, specifically nvidiafb.
