Summary: GIMP crashes when you attempt to open or edit an image
Product: Codex
Version: test grimoire
Platform: x86
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: graphics
AssignedTo: sm-grimoire-bugs AT lists.ibiblio.org
ReportedBy: capnnimmo712 AT gmail.com
We discussed this on irc, and several others have the same bug. This is with
the version 2.2.17 from the current test grimoire.
This is the only information I've been able to come up with on why it's
crashing, and it's not much, but I am not great at debugging.
$ gimp
The program 'gimp' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.
(Details: serial 30308 error_code 3 request_code 39 minor_code 0)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
$
(script-fu:10168): LibGimpBase-WARNING **: script-fu: wire_read(): error
Hope others can reproduce this, and figure out what is going on.
