That's a general thing we supposedly didn't take into account yet.
I remember disabling libiberty in gcc when building LFS systems since
binutils
provides one ...and here comes cleanse:

Incorrect md5sum for /usr/lib/libiberty.a
but matches in:
/var/log/sorcery/md5sum/binutils-2.17
Removing from gcc's install and md5sum logs.

Further entries in my log:

Incorrect md5sum for /usr/share/man/man1/passwd.1
but matches in:
/var/log/sorcery/md5sum/shadow-4.0.17
Removing from openssl's install and md5sum logs.

Incorrect md5sum for /usr/share/info/standards.info
but matches in:
/var/log/sorcery/md5sum/binutils-2.17
Removing from autoconf's install and md5sum logs.

Incorrect md5sum for /bin/groups
but matches in:
/var/log/sorcery/md5sum/shadow-4.0.17
Removing from coreutils's install and md5sum logs.

Incorrect md5sum for /bin/kill
but matches in:
/var/log/sorcery/md5sum/util-linux-2.12r
Removing from coreutils's install and md5sum logs.

Incorrect md5sum for /usr/share/man/man1/groups.1
but matches in:
/var/log/sorcery/md5sum/shadow-4.0.17
Removing from coreutils's install and md5sum logs.

Incorrect md5sum for /usr/share/man/man1/kill.1
but matches in:
/var/log/sorcery/md5sum/util-linux-2.12r
Removing from coreutils's install and md5sum logs.

Incorrect md5sum for /usr/share/man/man1/uptime.1
but matches in:
/var/log/sorcery/md5sum/procps-3.2.7
Removing from coreutils's install and md5sum logs.

So, is this a gating bug? Perhaps... Interesting that this didn't interest
anyone before since cleanse for sure shows these on every run after some
installs.
And, should we settle for the files that got actually installed (as last and
remaining one) in a typical install or should we consider evaluation if there
are some differences?
