Allow me to repeat:

gcc34 implies g++.

If all you did was to remove g++, then there's another problem elsewhere. The
dependency isn't the problem -- it might have something to do with
grimoire/sorcery interactions with enabling the g++ in gcc34, but it's NOT the
dependency that is at fault.

YES, there might be something wrong that's not merely a local configuration
issue, but I don't know because I hadn't been given any information. When you
file a compile error, you _always_ give a compile log and you _always_ leave
the
compile in the same spot so that we can identify it (backup the /usr/src/blah
directory, for example).

Remember that removing the binary might not be the same issue. If gcc34 was
installed and thus g++ was installed, then removing g++ might get the same
error, but THIS TIME, the error might be accurate. The whole point of needing
more information is that it may have been not as accurate as we had hoped (g++
might be installed, but it might be in the wrong spot, for example, or the
invoke_gcc didn't work for this spell, for example).

Now all I know is that if you delete g++, it doesn't work. This IS probably
the
correct error, but I have no real way of knowing it. Right now it's only
probable. Granted, a high probability, but g++34 should still be installed on
your box, but elsewhere -- again, not really a dependency issue.

Can you attach the gcc34 compile log and version number? That will help me
figure out what went wrong. I'd also like a super debug output of the cast of
it failing. Both of those will give me an idea of what actually happened for
it
not to find g++34.
