------- Additional Comments From treeve AT scarlet.be 2006-06-24 03:52 -------
it compiled for me on 2006-04-02 using gcc-4.1.0.
Today it built using gcc-4.1.1, but took nearly an hour, while also running
konqueror, kmail and various other things.

It does, however need a lot of memory. I have 512MB on a Athlon 750.
Compiling pyqt is one of the few things that uses swap space on my machine.
In
fact kswapd seems to be clocking up time faster than cc1plus is.

I have added a config_query to let the user decide whether to use lots of
memory and compile one BIG file, or less memory and compile many files.

I have not tried with gcc-4.0.3
