Here it is, your moment of Zen.

Thanks to the wise and helpful people on linux-hotplug-devel, I've managed to
find a way to hopefully make hotplug obsolete:

- modify /etc/udev/rules.d/50-default.rules from the udev spell
- add correct /etc/modprobe.conf to the module-init-tools spell

There are udev rules that autoload firmware and most modules. Some modules
lack aliases that make them visible to udev, so aliases have to be created in
modprobe.conf, and a special udev rule must be used to load the modules.

Below you will find the brand spanking new 50-default.rules and
modprobe.conf.
Please notice that these rules no longer have any backwards compatibility
with
hotplug, so scrap it if you dare.
