Summary: dspam file security options
Product: Codex
Version: test grimoire
Platform: x86
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: minor
Priority: P5
Component: mail
AssignedTo: sm-grimoire-bugs AT lists.ibiblio.org
ReportedBy: MatthewClark AT InLesserTerms.net
CC: dkowis AT shlrm.org

every time I compile dspam, I have to add the following options to the
./configure options file:

--with-dspam-home-owner=dspam --with-dspam-home-group=dspam
--with-dspam-mode=2755 --with-dspam-owner=dspam --with-dspam-group=dspam

Without those options, I have to manually set permissions on an out-of-the-box
installation. (Does the spell create the dspam user and group? I can't
remember.)

I submitted this as 'minor' just in case I'm the only one who requires these
permissions. But these permissions seem like they should be pretty much
standard, and if I'm accurate, perhaps these should be included by default?
Or
perhaps a set of questions could be asked?

It's possible that I am submitting a this unecessarily. Just a thought :)
