Summary: dspam compiled with ldap support generates errors
Product: Codex
Version: test grimoire
Platform: x86
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: mail
AssignedTo: sm-grimoire-bugs AT lists.ibiblio.org
ReportedBy: MatthewClark AT InLesserTerms.net
CC: dkowis AT shlrm.org
After compiling dspam v3.6.2, which compiles successfully, with LDAP support
an
error is generated when dspam is called by the MTA. This error is logged in
/var/log/everything/current or /var/log/mail/current
(Command died with signal 11: "/usr/bin/dspam". Command output: 32623:
[01/24/2006 13:04:11] dlopen() failed: /usr/lib/libmysql_drv.so:
/usr/lib/libmysql_drv.so: undefined symbol: ldap_verify )
Even commenting out the LDAP stuff in dspam.conf does not solve this -- dspam
MUST be recompiled without LDAP support. The above causes my MTA (Postfix) to
bounce all mail.
Being not much of a programmer, I first thought that something was trying to
use
MySQL libs for LDAP functions, but I am no expert. Also, while there are
configuration options to specify various library locations, there are no such
configuration options for LDAP.
And, as usual, dSpam documentation blows. So does the IRC channel, and so
does
the mailing list.
