This sounds like useful functionality to have even without wanting ada ...
Generally, some SMGL rescue mechanism for "I broke my tool chain".
Well, basically some online storage of basesystem caches and a script
to (selectively) downoad them. Or just a "basesystem-rescue" grimoire
that offers binary packages (caches to be extracted) of basesystem spells.
Conveniently, this cache of binaries is present in the testing chroots ...
