git expects to work via emailed patches... there is a command to generate
patches fit for emailing, and another on the receiving end to apply patches
from a specified mail spool. I don't know if any of the others have this.
It does require manual intervention but I guess it could be scripted pretty
easily if we wanted to try it. You'd need to gpg-sign the mails so we
could authenticate them.
