Ok I discovered how to turn it off. Shouldn't these things either default to off or something? I don't like updating programs and it changing my preferences. Maybe some way to alert the user that a new option is available? I don't really know.


It is off by default by popular request has been for a long long time.

grep UPDATEFIX /etc/sorcery/config UPDATEFIX=${UPDATEFIX:=off}
