Hmm, okay. I'm not sure where to go with this.

According to http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=90333, Error: This version
of
Qt seems to use tmake but the TMAKEPATH environment is not set. Well that's
not the problem.

According to http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91573 and
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92022, Error: These Qt libraries were
found: qt qt-mt. Use the -l argument to explicitly specify which you want to
use. That could be a related problem, but in both cases the suggested fix is
to add "-l qt-mt" to the configure line, which is in place in the original
source.

According to http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=93041, Error: qglobal.h
could
not be found in /usr/include//include. That also could be a related problem.

However, the suggested fix for that, to add "INCDIR_QT=@qt_includes@" to
Makefile.am, is also in place in the original source.

The error I am getting, Error: The qt-mt Qt library could not be found
in /usr/include//lib, leads me to think it is looking for libraries in the
include path.

I will continue to investigate this further and see if I can find a
resolution.

A snippet from my compile log:
Making all in python

mkdir: cannot create directory `sip': File exists

-e `echo -I/usr/include/python2.3 | sed s/-I//` -l qt-mt -v /usr/share/sip/
-t
"$builddir/sip" INCDIR_QT=/usr/include/qt
Error: The qt-mt Qt library could not be found in /usr/include//lib.
This is SIP 4.1.1 for Python 2.3 on linux2.
