- Subject: [SM-Discuss] bless and prometheus?

Hi all,
we're facing a problem in bless development atm: we need to find out for
every spell whether or not we need to add a desktop file
this comes to these steps:
1. we need to know whether or not a spell needs an entry in the menus
(useless for command line apps for example)
2. if a spell needs an entry, we have to know whether or not it installs a
.desktop file or we have to add one.
3. to add a .desktop file (or multiple) to the spell, we need to know the
names and locations of the executables from that spell, to give them their
appropriate place in the menus.
In short, we have to grep every install log for .desktops and files in
binary-folders. prometheus might be a big help in this task I think. another
solution might be sharing install logs (section guru's may be a great help
here). I don't consider casting all spells an option on my system, so is
anyone running a prometheus system anywhere that could get these logs to us?
does anybody know a more effecient way to gather these data?
thx for your input and if you'd like to help ploughing through the grimoire,
please give us your hand :)
Arjan & Pieter
