Hi all,

Sorry if it's been asked already but I'm still on a 56K connection (for
2 or 3 more weeks) so it's not easy to stay up to date and browse all
the archives.
Here is what I did: I dispeled NVIDIA drivers, I recasted (-c -r) xorg
(6.7.0) and I answered no to the self cast of nvidia triggered by xorg.
Now, when I try to launch glxgears I get this:
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Error: couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered visual
and it's the same wether or not I have "Load "glx"" in my xorg.conf.
Anyone having a clue please?

Now a little graphic card advice; I'm thinking about buying a Radeon
9200 because the drivers are open source but I was wondering if they
were really good compared to the nvidia binaries? Also perhaps it's
worth waiting for drivers for higher models like 9800 to be released? Is
there a chance this will be soon or is it really that slow to evolve?

And last question: I would like to copy my entire smgl / to another
partition (from a reiserfs to an ext3) but parted can't handle reiserfs
so what else could I use? (I'd like to avoid the tar and cp solution)

Thanks in advance,
Mathieu.
