- Subject: [SM-Discuss] kernel module files tracking

Hi All,
My apologies if I missed any discussions on this. I've added a spell for
"ndiswrapper" kernel module. In casting, it modifies these files:
/lib/modules/2.4.25/modules.dep
/lib/modules/2.4.25/modules.generic_string
/lib/modules/2.4.25/modules.ieee1394map
/lib/modules/2.4.25/modules.isapnpmap
/lib/modules/2.4.25/modules.parportmap
/lib/modules/2.4.25/modules.pcimap
/lib/modules/2.4.25/modules.pnpbiosmap
/lib/modules/2.4.25/modules.usbmap
/lib/modules/2.4.25/pcmcia
Now, they are also part of "linux" spell install log. If I dispel
ndiswrapper, these files will be gone, and potentially the kernel will
not function correctly, right? Is this really a problem and did we ever
try to solve this it in any way? I don't see any relevant code in other
kernel modules.
Thanks,
Sergey.
