No, I had alsa. I was under the impression that a lot more software was
alsa aware than it turns out is. Things are mostly working with OSS
emulation, however I now have the problem that if I have music playing
with madplay (I don't know what method it is using to play, OSS or
ALSA), and I play a wav with sox (on /dev/dsp), when the wav plays it is
mostly just a burst of static. Playing it without music playing is fine
however.
