I have just cast cdrdao successfully and my libintl.h is from glibc.
I have attached my copy, could you both do a diff against yours ? Perhaps it
is modified by glibc's build and ours differ ?
(unlikely but nice to check)

I also just altered gettext's build to install its libintl.h and cdrdao still
casts fine for me.
Are you guys by chance running a 2.6 kernel ? or perhaps you haven't rebuilt
glibc against the kernel headers from the kernel you are running ?

ps my crappy ISP is dropping packets left right and centre so I cna't get to
bugs.sourcemage.org to find that bug
