I have a question. In the cups docs it mentions that if you type in lpstat (think followed with a -v or something) you can see the supported devices for printing. well in the docs they show one for usb, but when i type it in i don't see anything for usb, and my printer sadly is only connected via usb. i have usb support compiled into the kernel, and my printer shows up, but for some reason our cups doesn't want to talk to usb, so how do i go about fixing this?

Alvaro,

If you are using CUPS, they have great documentation[0] on how to do this
at http://www.cups.org/ (which also comes with a web-based interface[1] on
port 631, so point your browser to http://localhost:631/).

I have no clue on how to do it with any other method.
