And, btw, bash fails after this ncurses update. Dirty fix:
ln -sf /lib/libncursesw.so.6.0 /lib/libncursesw.so.5

Anything new on that? How do we properly handle that? There seems to be
option to build both so.5 and so.6 from the same sources (not totally
sure), but I guess we need a proper upgrade path for libraries that
break all tools. Without ncurses, readline doesn't work. Bash doesn't
work. Treeve: How did you test the update? Did it work for you and just
Pavel had the issue?

I was trying to fix another spell which was already broken regarding ncurses. Before rebuilding it I checked for an update to ncurses..
When I found one, I built, checked things which depended on it and rebuilt a couple.

ncurses:20160107:installed:6.0
bash:20160107:installed:4.3
python3:20160108:installed:3.5.1
alsa-utils:20160108:installed:1.1.0
python:20160108:installed:2.7.11

I found several libraries which were renamed, so I think adding UP_TRIGGERS to check major version changes should work.
I can't do this on my main machine, as it is already updated. I shall try it on my notebook.

Alrighty then,

Thomas
