git log invokes the pager here - if it doesn't for you, do it manually. What
to read? What you're about to push (I see I had a poor choice of words up
there).
The difference between reading your commits on the ml and before the push, is
obvious, you can still fix any discrepancies without troubling any reviewers
or redoing stuff multiple times (you can't hard reset already pushed
commits).
