I was asked by Andrew to write for "This Week in SMGL" when it was
introduced,
and I accepted the offer. He always reviews my articles before they are
published, and sometimes suggests changes. In my first version for last week,
your name or the "fault" wasn't mentioned at all, it concentrated on Arjan's
and Mathieu's suggestion and its replies. Andrew however suggested that I
should also add these details because - as he reckoned - the case was already
settled. I'm sorry that you feel otherwise, and I apologise on my behalf for
any negative feelings this has caused.

I do not, however, appreciate the way you hint at me "not using Source Mage
GNU/Linux more than seven months". No doubt I'm still learning the ropes, but
how else could I do so if not under the guidance of a seasoned SMGL'er? That
was exactly the case here.

To Seth:

You said: "I was surprised by how dense the references were about this
discussion: I was even quoted, though I'm not sure why my quote was picked
out of the bunch (and yet they didn't even use my full name)."

I've been asked to pay attention to detail when I write "This Week". If you
feel that I'm overdoing it generally, I'll be happy to hear feedback. IMHO
your quote outlined the general opinion about the topic in a verbally
skillful manner and deserved to be printed. I used your nickname because your
full name was already mentioned in paragraph 4. That's what I've done in
other similar cases, too. If you think that a full name should always be used
when mentioned for the first time in each paragraph, please let me know.
