Thanks Tindomul (Tindomul Er-Murazor). You win the prize! Perhaps I should have put COLOMBIA in capitals!
As a matter of interest I think all those interested in Pleurothallids (and other Andean type orchid genera) SHOULD take a look at Jay Pfahl's pictures of his wife's home country (COLOMBIA).
Check it out often at http://www.orchidspecies.com/colombia06.htm
It really gives you an idea of the orchids, habitat, geography and people of the region. I particularly dream of going to see all those Masdevallia coccineas planted in the cloud forest up there at Luis Eduardo's property in the cloud! About 1 1/2 hrs drive? from Bogota. But then anywhere in the Andes calls me!
Any other pleurothallidists interested in a trip to the region? Not sure if we'd be likely to be kidnapped for ransom still in the mountains of Colombia but maybe we could survive to write a book about our experiences!
You'll also find the above site among Jay's other great photo trips on his (and his helpers) wonderful IOSPE orchid species identification resource, just below his world map, by clicking on LETS GO! IOSPE stands for his International Orchid Species Photo Encyclopedia at http://www.orchidspecies.com/ in case you are new to all this.
I have a Dracula hirtzii out. Flower looks down, but its almost beautiful!
Cheers,
Ron

Hi Guys and Girls
I doubt very much these Restrepias are natives of any of the at least
half a dozen Columbia towns or cities in the USA! Lets get it
right. I'm sure you meant they are from the independent country of
Colombia in South America, situated between Venezuela and Ecuador!
Any chance of getting to see photos of your Restrepias and how you
are growing them? Whats involved in extending this site and getting
photos here? Might liven it up somewhat and get more people growing
Pleurothallids?
Ron

Hi Ron,
Ding ding ding! Yes Columbia South America! I posted some earlier, and I
can take some pictures of my little greenhouse environment where the
Restrepia and the Masdevallia play.

Hi, I believe Ron was referring to the misspelled name for the country, Colombia, not Columbia.
