Thanks for the announcement Rhonda!

I just wanted to add that listserv members (or anyone for that matter) can access the full issue of this South Atlantic Review (SAR) Walker Percy special issue (not just the Table of Contents and Introduction which Rhonda has kindly posted for all of us here) at this link:  https://samla.memberclicks.net/sar.

SAMLA membership (https://samla.memberclicks.net/membershipratesforms ) is necessary to read SAR issues.

Hope you all enjoy it, and thanks to all the contributors for their fine insights and essays!  It was a pleasure and a privilege to help create this issue!

 Greetings Percy folks,

Karey Perkins and I are delighted to announce the publication of the South Atlantic Review’s special issue on Walker Percy. We have attached the table of contents and editors’ introduction for your perusal. You’ll find a robust collection of essays by leading Percy scholars covering topics that have been part of our list discussions, such as Percy and race, Percy’s theory of language, and Percy’s applicability to 21st century literary studies (and classrooms). You’ll also find some fresh takes, such as Gary Cuiba’s examination of Percy and deafness.

We hope that you will enjoy this Percy-focused issue of the South Atlantic Review.

Happy holidays to all!

Rhonda McDonnell and Karey Perkins
