You just like George
Clooney! : ) (OK, I do too….) Believe it or not, there
is another Indiana Jones movie in the making! Is Ford going to be swinging from trees
and running from giant rolling rocks while he is in a wheelchair?? Hmmm… I wonder how they’re going to
swing that. From: percy-l-bounces AT lists.ibiblio.org
[mailto:percy-l-bounces AT lists.ibiblio.org] On Behalf Of RHONDA MCDONNELL No,
Ford looked like mid-60s last time I saw him. And Percy plays a little
loose with the time frame. Remember he was writing SC and realized
mid-way through that his protagonist was Will Barrett. I don't remember where I
read that--either in the letters or an interview, but he never was a
perfectionist when it came to those types of details. Will has retired young,
so mathematically, the whole thing never did work. In any case, while
Harrison Ford is too old, Clooney is probably too young. But it would
have to be someone plausible, and if we're going to cast him with Scarlett Jo,
then he has to have some charisma. On second thought, Clooney's hair IS gray.
He can play older. --Rhonda

karey1 AT charter.net OK, I looked it up; he’s 67. Wow. I think he
could get away with 57 though…. Karey From:

Behalf Of Karey Perkins Wasn’t Will at least 50 or older? Isn’t Harrison
Ford about that old? Will’s daughter has graduated from college and
Will did not marry Marion until later – she’s not in the prequel
– and in the Last Gentleman he is in his mid to late 20s at least I
think. I never liked the age difference between Allie and Will –
it’s source seemed more of middle-aged wishful thinking than anything
that had anything to do about truths about life, God, or human
relationships. Scarlett Johanssen (sp?) plays opposite older men frequently
(Girl with the Pearl Earring, Lost in Translation) and has a maturity about her
that would make her very good for the role though. Karey From:

something. Steven L. Dye, MA Director Bluegrass MH-MR Board, Inc. 1500 Leestown Road, Suite 338 Lexington, KY 40511 -----Original Message----- I like it! I can totally see
Harrison Ford in that role at least. Scarlett Johansen (sp?) would be good as
Allie too. KP From: percy-l-bounces AT lists.ibiblio.org
[mailto:percy-l-bounces AT lists.ibiblio.org] On Behalf Of Dye, Steve I always thought Harrison Ford and
Drew Barrymore were good fits for the roles in Second Coming but that was a
while ago. Steven L. Dye, MA Director Bluegrass MH-MR Board, Inc. 1500 Leestown Road, Suite 338 Lexington, KY 40511 -----Original Message----- I
seem to recall having read in Patrick Samway's biography of Dr. Percy that
there had been several aborted attempts at filming The Moviegoer, though I
don't remember Mallick having been mentioned. At some point in the late 60s or
early 70s a production might have actually commenced, with Sam Waterston (apparently
a Percy fan) in the role of Binx, but this project was also shelved. On Sat, Oct 31, 2009 at 12:21 PM, <percy-l-request AT lists.ibiblio.org>
