In answering Thomas there was some confusion. I am just adding this hoping to clear it up. Sometimes my computer messes me up.

Thomas told how reading that essay helped make sense of Shelby Foote dedicating his book to Walker Percy his life-long partner.

I commented a while ago that I noted that Foote had dedicated his fourth book to Walker Percy and that LITR was Percy's fourth novel and it was dedicated to Foote.
