Well, I've been talking to Ibiblio on how we can get xml-rpc working
for us there. This would require either upgrading to python 2.3 or
letting us run a custom net visible daemon. Fred said definitely not
on the custom daemon and we would have to wait for RHEL to move to a
new python package (what's up with RH anyway running a python
interpreter that's 4 years old?!?). He also didn't think I would be
able to do a user install of python because of some library
funkyness... not really sure what he was talking about because 2.3.5
is now running all the dev cgi. I'm waiting to hear back that this is
really ok and if so we have an easy way to feed our GBIs data. If you
notice any funkyness on dev. let me know. You will also notice a new
line in the debug info between Session and Environ that looks like
this:
Python: 2.3.5 (#1, Aug 5 2005, 14:49:23) [GCC 3.2.3 20030502 (Red Hat Linux
3.2.3-52)]
Cheers,
Chad
