you guys make me laugh out loud ;)
Threshold is the foundation we already applied for funding from (and are
in the evaluation process with). The person who is evaluating our
project from the Threshold Foundation (and who I spoke with on the phone
last week) is Jim - he is super interesting fellow, involved with both
Permaculture and interactive media, definitely compatible with our
interests. And he works at Planetwork, which is why I wanted you to
check it out (so you could get a better understanding of what he does).
And as for the Pew Foundation - although we are not doing original
research, we would provide a mechanism collecting, sharing, and
presenting original research, so perhaps this would suit their mission.
I'll inquire....
enjoy earth day!
peace

Wonderful lead, Lawrence.
Are we interested in applying? I wrote to them to ask about their
application process because I couldn't find the info on their website.
What do people think of Threshold and Planetwork? Has Jim contacted
anyone?
Enjoy the Gaia*Lovin tomorrow (although, of course, "every day is earth
day")
peace

We're actually intending to create something that would be a resource and
have
consequences (effects, whatever - any word but 'impact' please...), not
researching existing resources and their consequences or effects.
And, if it looks to you like we're qualified when checking the details,
it's
fine by me!
Took a brief look at planetwork.net - they seem to be flying at 30,000
feet,
maybe even higher - couldn't find much closer to the ground than that.
Threshold I dunno what that is - did I miss a mail with link somewhere?
cheers,
John S.

Too right. From that perspective, we must seem very rooted and solid.
We could be in with a chance!
