It is BS Georg. The only exception and that needs to be proved might be kelp, like typical Atlantic kelp for example. I bought powdered kelp once from a health food store to add to the dishes I cooked for flavor and nutrition. I noticed that after a while I began to get a small outbreak of pimples on my face; at age 76 I still get pimples. When I slacked off the kelp the problem went away. I do not think there is any need to regulate your intake of most sea vegetables. Of course you can overdo anything. It is obvious that the Japanese and Irish eat plenty of seaweed regularly without ill effect. If there was a problem we would hear about it in Japanese literature on the subject. Just check out all the books on traditional Japanese macrobiotic diet by Japanese and American authors, Kushi, Ohzawa, Wigmore, Kulvinskas and many more. Daily intake of seaweed salad, seaweed in soup and stews, soaked and eaten raw should not cause anyone problems. The usual disclaimer applies for me.
