Try changing your diet, less processed food, no junk food, less sweets, less salt, less fat. Getting adequate probiotics and dietary fiber is critical to good GI health. A simple Asian diet can help: rice, tofu, fish, miso soup, vegetable soup, salads and PROBIOTICS like kim chee and/or other fermented foods such as unpasteurized pickles and sauerkraut. Additional dietary fiber and probiobiotics could possibly reduce or eliminate your problem. I know ZERO about Helicobacter pylori but it is not something I worry about as I feel proper diet will keep me healthy. The main message I am sending is about the regular use of probiotics and eating adequate dietary fiber. You can take a probiotic supplement or you can get it in food (much cheaper and it works); foods include: (unpasteurized) yoghurt, miso, kim chee, pickles, sauerkraut, kefir, kombucha, anything with lactobacillus in it, i.e. fermented foods. If you can tolerate it, ginger and garlic, raw are very beneficial, eaten raw or added to soup, stir fry, stew, other dishes; much kim chee has garlic in it. You may have allergies to such foods as wheat and cow dairy. Eliminating these foods from your diet may help but always use probiotics. I had very bad acid reflux then figured out my problem was diet related, food allergies, not enough fiber and no intake of probiotics. I made the necessary changes and now I am in good shape. Koreans eat kim chee at least once a day if not more often. Good sources of fiber include: natural grains, unpolished rice, raw and dried fruits and vegetables, corn grits, brown rice, oats, oat bran, flax seed meal (one of the best), nuts, seeds, barley and beans. Avoid processed foods and bread and pastry products made with refined flour. Go for a simpler, more spartan diet. You can get plenty of protein from vegetarian sources but meat is fine in moderation, fish and other seafood is excellent, poultry is also quality protein source. LFLondon
