Well, artisanal is in the eye of the buyer, I suppose. http://www.brushymountainbeefarm.com/1-lb-Raw-Settled-Beeswax/productinfo/450/
Looks like Dadant is trying to appeal to the more arty side, but still only
$7: http://www.dadant.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=77
And how’s this, only $28 for a full 200gm, not quite half a pound! http://www.rockler.com/purified-beeswax?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=&utm_content=pla&utm_campaign=PL&sid=V9146&gclid=CPu_rcW8icACFSsV7AodGBsARA
If someone is making doodads to sell, they probably don’t have the margin
to cover artisanal raw materials!
I don’t actually know the purpose, just helping someone new to the
area.
No offers so far.

That's an awfully cheap price for wax. Dadant charges
more per pound than that for clean bulk wax ($199 for 28 pounds). Hobby Lobby
has beeswax on sale now for $10.50/lb, regularly $15/lb. Neither honey nor wax
should be sold cheap; our artisanal products should sell for more, not less,
than the mass markets.
