Hey All,
I had posted on 7/5 about losing a queen. I have since re-queened with a
queen cells from my other hive on or about 7/8. The queen cell had emerged
by 7/20 and the other queen cells in the hive had been destroyed. That I
thought was a good sign but to date we have not actually laid eyes on the
queen nor have we seen any eggs, larva or brood developing. We were in the
hive this evening looking specifically for that and were disappointed that
she was not present and the hive was quite aggressive.

Question 1: I would have thought that enough time would have elapsed that we
would/should have seen signs of brood production. Am I correct in thinking
that should be so???

Question 2: should I consider re-queening again??
2a: if so, should I re-queen with a purchased queen or move some
brood/larva/eggs from my other hive and let them make a queen on their own???

I'm going to be out of town for the next week but I've got a partner who can
accomplish this if we need to move quickly. If there's someone who would
like to take a look in the hive and give a better opinion, I plan on being
back on Sunday 8/3 to go back into the hive. Please feel free to send me a
note and we'll meet then to go into the hive.

Thanks all in advance!!!
George
