All those interested in adopting swarms this year should send me an email
with:

Your name and phone number(s) where you can be reached.
"Territory" that you are willing to cover.
Days of the week/time of day you are available.

I will call people based on their proximity to the swarm and ability to
immediately respond.

Bear in mind, a swarm is a temporary condition. It may stay in the same
location for a day but is as likely to be on the move within the hour. Folks
of the swarm patrol should have a hive at the ready.

On a related topic, OCBA has received word of a colony of honeybees being
evicted from an old building (1880s) just outside of Henderson, N.C. The
owner has imminent (this week?) plans to disassemble the building to
repurpose the old lumber and the bees have to go. The bees are coming & going
from a hole in the siding about 10 feet high & have been there at least one
year.

Anyone interested in adopting these bees should contact me ASAP.

Thanks,

Chris Richmond
