Hi guys,
If you could pass this along to your group listserves I would greatly appreciate it.  Mike is looking for chalkbrood to be used in one of our research projects and so far we haven't seen as much as normal.  If you know of anyone with a case of chalkbrood, please let us know.

Specifically, what is needed is a colony that has enough chalkbrood that the mummies can be collected.  These are normally seen at the entrance of the hive.  Mike Simone-Finstrom is the lead on the project and he would be the one coming out to collect the samples.  If you have a colony with chalkbrood and would be willing to have some samples taken from it, please let us know.  You can contact Mike at mdsimone AT ncsu.edu

Thanks for your help.

Jennifer
