WOW... randall that wasn't "snarky" at all...but it was completely off topic!

I would have to disagree w/ you in that the OCBA "management" is working behind the scenes to, as you have implied, create a form of censorship toward those of us who want to talk about "chem-free" beekeeping! That is not my take on those leaders so i do not like nor agree w/ you posting to everyone or implying that there are "behind closed doors" secret meetings to form this form/type of censorship.

I do have to say i am surprised that we have not heard, as of yet, a rebuttal to your claims! I do not know why that hasn't occurred, but hold faith that this still remains a "BEEKEEPING" group...meaning we are allowed to talk about all forms beekeeping w/o fear of being cut off or deleted...again i do not share your view! To do so would only create a devide and make this only a PRO chemical site...i do not think that is the way we're headed.

I do apologize if i have ever directly or indirectly offended anyone on this list!! It was not my intent nor goal...actually if one reads through it all i have only asked for an equal open voice here w/o these kinds of responses. This is the second time you act as you want things to be open then proceed to insult and intimidate some of us beekeepers! As you have already stated, you don't think bee are that important..so if you do leave it will not hurt my feelings....but i do hope Jim stays and will consider to share his experiences!!

Jim,

I've been told that OCBA Management is investigating list-wide options to address the problem. In the meantime, before I abscond from this list and lose the value of sharing & learning from other local beekeepers about practical topics, I've decided to try a little Integrated Pest Management on it. As of today I have added to my e-mail's junk filter the names of those who blatantly and repeatedly disrespect other people in their posts. Any e-mail sent to, from or cc'ing those people isn't accepted by my e-mail processor. Interestingly enough, the list is very short --- only 3 names. But this approach should solve 100% of the civility problems we've seen lately. I may have minor over-selection issues but that is an acceptable risk if it eliminates stress in my in-box.
Coincidentally, this should address most of the off-topic problems as well, although I don't mind a few passionate posts about random topics as long as they aren't disrespectful of others.

I mostly read what comes over this list and don’t post much.

I enjoy / learn from reading posts about beekeeping.

Lately this list has turned into a soapbox on environmentalism, chemicals…

Can we get back to beekeeping?

If not I will quietly unsubscribe.
