i wish to nominate a long time orange county beekeeper for president of our
club. this person is very dedicated to the local and state organizations. she
has been a great asset and resource for orange county members as a leader
and tireless worker that has promoted beekeeping. she has been a member of our
club for many years. she has served a secretary of our group. she was a force
in the planning and developement of the "bee exhibit" at the state zoo. she is
a nc master beekeeper. under her leadership orange county beekeepers will
continue the forward direction as a leading local club that promotes and
teachs the public about the benefits of our gentle honey bees. i give you
our favorite daughter of the hive....gayle young.

Hi Everyone! For the last few months I have been trying to get
some nominations or volunteers for president and vice president of our club.
As many of you know Jeff and I are expecting a son on Dec. 4th and the October
meeting will be my last meeting. I have not received any volunteers or
nominations, so I am not sure where this will leave the club. At the minimum I
need someone to volunteer to list their name and number on the web site and
with the agriculture office, because I will need to remove mine. It will not
be possible for me to keep up with calls and emails from the community. It is
important that we have someone represent the club to the community, especially
when swarm season begins. There are also a lot of people that are interested
in starting up that I get calls from quite frequently. I hope that someone can
help the club out with this service. Please email me if you would like to
volunteer to do this or become the president/vice president. If you want to
nominate someone send that as well. Please send this to me before the next
meeting that will be on Thursday Oct. 9th. Hope to hear from you
soon! Thanks, Becky
