Thank you for hosting the NCMIA meeting and for setting up the SAMMA demo!

It was great seeing everyone and hearing about all of the projects that are underway.

Next stop, Albermarle?  :)

NCMIA folks -

I'm attaching a document Stephanie Stewart created presenting data she collected from some of us about moving image collecting and collections in North Carolina and the Southeast. I thought you all might want to take a look at it before our discussion about collecting policies.

See you tomorrow!

Kirston

Hello all -

Just a reminder that our next NCMIA meeting is coming up next Monday, June 28th, at 2:00pm.  We'll be meeting in the Rare Book Room at 2:00 and ending with a demonstration of the SAMMA in the Digital Production Center at 3:30 - both in Perkins Library on West Campus.  The SAMMA demo should only last about 15 to 20 minutes, so we should be done before 4:00pm.

Directions to the Library and information about parking in the Bryan Center deck can be found here:

http://library.duke.edu/specialcollections/about/directions.html

I put together a loose agenda for the day:

2:00 - Introductions, news,  and updates - projects we've completed or are working on
2:20 - Discussion about Collecting Policies - please feel free to bring examples to share if you have them
2:50 - Discussion about Appraisal
3:20 - Leave for SAMMA demo in the Digital Production Center
3:30 - SAMMA Demo

Please write or call with any questions!

Warm regards,

Kirston
