Hi Lori,
David Vernon at Century Farm in northern NC has preserved Lee Calhoun's heirloom collection that Lee collected from throughout the south. Not all are southern apple. For example, David offers Roxbury Russet, a 17th century apple from Massachusetts.
See: https://www.centuryfarmorchards.com/
I have bought multiple trees from David and also have ordered custom grafted trees from a variety I found on a new land purchase that I wished to preserve. I have had a very good experience with David and his trees.
Good luck on planting out your new place!

Eastern nurseries with heirlooms. Cummins and ACN are on the east and
carry some heirlooms- Cummins quite a few. However there is a nursery in
VA run by a member or former member of NAFEX that I can't remember the name
of.
For a forum well suited to answer such questions. I recommend
growingfruit.org. They have a nursery list available and also members not
far from you.

Hi all,
I finally was able to settle on6 acres in Rhode Island and want to start
in Vermont I have personally carried in my car from Boston to Plymouth, MA,
to Oregon and now back to Coventry, RI - so now I want to buy a few other
trees.
Any suggestions for nurseries in MA, CT, or RI where I could get goodsized trees - otherwise, online nurseries that carry heirlooms and
varieties such as Crispin...does Cornell ever sell? I ve considered
Raintree.
Thanks,__________________

This story goes viral evry so often, mostly due to the photos. From
what I can see, it seems to be a particularly dark sport of Red

as well, I d say it probably doesn t taste like much.
