Jujubes-- if the right variety is selected they can do well in cooler more
coastal conditions - I have grown Li which does not need as much heat as the
others.

Yes, short seasons are the issue.
I am in zone 7 and had a short list of varieties that would bear early enough
in the season. I grow So, Sherwood and Shanxi Li.
They bloom late, so late frosts are not an issue.
