When you say "not true to type" is the variability in pecan seedlings more like my understanding of apples (a lot of F1 variability) or like my understanding of peaches (less F1 variability)?

You know of course that pecan seed do not come true to type. I have some
seedling trees I planted that are good ones. Most need to be grafted
however to ensure a good type. Try Columbia Nursery in LA and maybe they can
suggest a good source.
