Some of you might recall the mystery problem I had with a Canadice grape. It
looked healthy, but didn't fruit. It would produce "fruiting tendrils", but
they would shrivel and fall off before blooming.
So, I finally replaced it. I dug it out this spring, and planted a Jupiter
vine from Double A Vineyards.
It arrived dormant, and has sprouted nicely. And the little 1-foot vine is
sporting 4 fruiting tendrils that have progressed farther than the Canadice
buds usually made it.
I'm sure you all will tell me to pinch them off. But I am SOOOOO tempted to
leave at least one, and see if I can actually taste a grape. (and maybe
decide I don't even like this vine.)
Talk me off the ledge, folks.
Thanks,
Ginda
