zip-locks on apples, but I have too many Plums, Peaches, and Cherries to make that
practical. Wondering if keeping the Plums and Grapes out of sunlight would cause any
discoloring? There would be no such problem with zip-locks. I tried nylon bags on the
apples and found them not very protective, subject to breaking down in the sun, and
a bit expensive.
A previous post mentions critter protection with zip-lock bags. They seem to deter my
squirrels, even the ones that fall on the ground. I can usually scoop up the fallen ones
in time, but a hungry squirrel, raccoon, possum, etc. will eventually get past the bag,
if I leave it out too long.
