As long as this is being discussed, I see ranetka is quite tolerant of dry
sandy soils. It doesn't get nearly as cold here in/near Spokane as the
northern climes for which ranetka is urged, but this rootstock seems to rival
MM111 for usefulness in tolerating drought and light soil.
Can anyone respond to how it compares in precocity (youth of tree when
beginning to produce fruit) and production (MM111 is only moderately
productive and rather slow to begin fruiting.)
