David:
Welcome to NAFEX!
I grew Greensleeves for many years in S. Indiana and while very productive I certainly would not rate it as highly flavorful (not bad...not at all great).

Hi,
I joined this organization in hopes someone has experience with several varieties of apples in the drier country of eastern WA or Oregon. I'm in Spokane, on the north side of town and am looking to get first fruits from Ashmead's Kernel and Queen Cox apple trees this fall.
I am considering planting Belle de Boskoop (red cultivar that comes by way of Raintree Nursery, Morton, WA) and possibly Greensleeves.
Have never tasted Ashmead's nor Cox O.P. or the Queen Cox clone, but am a fan of big flavor. Hence the interest in BdB.
Anyone out there with Belle de Boskoop or Greensleeves in this region with cold winters and hot summers? I want to verify that both are mid-season bloomers and that BdB ripens by about 21st October in this region. We can have frost by then, and some writers indicate BdB does well with fruit on the tree for some frosts.
Comments or suggestions?
Thank you,
Dave Liezen
